As the Congress-led UPA ruling coalition completed its ninth anniversary and four years of its second stint in office today and is set to release its report card at its celebration dinner this evening, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hit out at the government by calling it a complete failure.
Attacking the UPA government over a range of issues, the BJP said the UPA government has failed on all fronts.
"The UPA-II has finished four years today. In the past four years, they have been so unsuccessful that we do not wish to delve into their entire nine-year regime
Dr Manmohan Singh is the PM but not the leader of the UPA. Allies sit with him in the Cabinet but look towards UPA chairperson for solutions," said BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.
Attacking the UPA over weak decision making and various scams, Sushma said, "The economic environment is worrying and no decisions are being taken. No government's rule has seen this level of corruption, price rise."
Echoing similar sentiments, BJP leader Arun Jaitley also hit out at Manmohan Singh saying, "Never has this happened in the history that the role of the Prime Minister has been so diminutive."

"It's as if there is no political role for the Prime Minister at all. "We've never see the Prime Minister as a target of sarcasm and humour," he added.
Alleging that the UPA has misused the CBI against allies, Jaitley said: "This government has only one accomplishment that it has ruled for four years by misusing the CBI."
"UPA's only achievement is using CBI to its advantage. If they did not misuse the CBI, then perhaps the Samajwadi Party and BSP would not have saved them with 'outside' support," he added.
