A day after the RSS' Goa unit led by Subhash Velingkar, who was sacked as the state chief late on Tuesday, formed the RSS 'prant', the Congress on Friday alleged the split is a clear indication that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) indulges in polarization for vote bank politics.
"When you play the game of polarization, which you played in Goa, this is bound to happen. You will polarize your own people," Congress leader Tom Vadakkan told ANI.
"The split in the RSS is a clear indication that in your vote bank politics, you have polarized the RSS," he added.
The Goa RSS prant will function independently and directly report to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.
Soon after the formation, Velingkar appointed himself as its chief.
Velingkar said Goa was a part of the Konkan RSS prant so far, but henceforth will operate as Goa prant and will take its own decisions.

He told the media that the Goa prant would be directly affiliated to the RSS headquarters.
He said they are yet to approach Nagpur for the creation of a separate prant.
Taking on the BJP, Velingkar maintained that he was removed without any justification, adding they should not take the Sangh for granted.
