'BJP is a movement, not a party', says Venkaiah Naidu on 35th Foundation Day

Extending his greetings to all Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on the occasion of the party's 35th foundation day, Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday expressed his delight over the saffron outfit reaching great heights in such a short time period of time.

"My compliments to all party workers across the country. We are bent upon developing this country and we are doing it. People are happy about it," Naidu said.

"It is a movement, not a party. I am extremely happy that the party has reached this stage in such ashort time period," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too on Monday extended his greetings to all party workers and well wishers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the occasion of party's 35th Foundation Day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the BJP's phenomenal growth was due to the efforts and hard work of generations of selfless karyakartas, who had devoted their lives to the nation.

"The BJP will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the people's aspirations and create an India that is strong, developed and inclusive," Prime Minister Modi said in a series of tweets.

The BJP was founded on April 6, 1980.
