A meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee is presently underway in the national capital to finalize the list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
The BJP Central Election Committee will also be discussing the names of BJP candidates for by-elections on three assembly seats in Delhi
According to reports, the political situation in Delhi will also deliberated by the BJP leadership during the meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and other senior party leaders are present in the meeting.
The assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand will be held in five phases - on November 25, December 2, December 9, December 14 and December 20. Counting for both states is going to be held on December 23.
