Trashing the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party's challenge on holding fresh polls in the national capital, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satish Upadhayay on Monday said his party was prepared for the polls, and added that the political uncertainty must end.

"We are prepared even if polls are held in Delhi tomorrow. The preparations are continuously on. Uncertainty must end, till when will bureaucrats run Delhi? There must be an elected government, we are prepared," Upadhayay told ANI here.

"All the development works are now halted, the elected representatives are not able to fulfill the dreams of the people, and bills which are supposed to be passed are not getting passed," he added.

Accusing the AAP of running away from governing the national capital, Upadhayay said: "We are not at all concerned about such accusations. If an accused heaps blame on others then it is not correct. Who has run away leaving Delhi? Who has left Haryana? They even declared the chief ministerial candidate there, ... they only know how to do politics of blame game." "It is Kejriwal's habit, he had left here only to defeat our Prime Minister in Varanasi so that he himself gets elected as Prime Minister," he added.

The Aam Aadmi Party has reportedly challenged the BJP to conduct fresh polls in Delhi and prove whether the wave in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi fructifies in the national capital as well. The Aam Aadmi Party has stated that the verdict of assembly polls in Haryana and Maharashtra signifies that the people were looking for a change from the Congress-led governments in the state.
