Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Bizay Sonkar Shastri today said that the Monsoon session of the Parliament which will commence from August 5 will be very important and the Government will have to answer a lot of questions on the Food Security Bill and corruption charges. .
"This will be one of the most important sessions in the history of the Parliament. The government will have to answer a lot of questions. It has made a mockery of Parliament by bringing the ordinance on Food Security and has conveniently avoided discussions over changes to be made in the bill. We will also discuss corruption cases against the Government and that is why this session is so important, "he said.
Talking about the recent war of words between the Congress and the BJP over Narendra Modi's recent statements, Shastri said that his party was ready for all types of discussion in the Parliament.
"We are ready for all types of discussion and no one can put a dot on BJP's ministers. Congress people who are talking about Narendra Modi cannot even differentiate between communalism and secularism," he said.
The Monsoon session of Parliament will be held from August 5 to 30 during which the ordinance on Food Security Bill will come up for ratification and other import economic legislations like the Land Acquisition and Insurance Bills are expected to be taken up for consideration.
