Delhi BJP leader Satish Upadhyay on Wednesday asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as to why his government had not spent money on educating the public about ways to prevent the spread of dengue.

"The AAP Government failed to do any work. Instead of doing work, he (Kejriwal) blames others to save his image," Upadhyay claimed.

Upadhyay told ANI, "The Delhi CM did not spend a single penny on educating people about the preventions taken on dengue. He has spent money in building his image only. It is a very sad and terrible situation in government hospitals. Chief Minister Kejriwal visits hospitals only for photo ops."

"It is the strategy of the Aam Aadmi Party, if it fails, immediately the blame will be transferred to others," he added.

Earlier, the Delhi Government had launched a helpline number 011-23307145 to assist dengue patients.

The Centre has asked the Delhi Government to increase bed strength in hospitals and to initiate action against private hospitals that were overcharging patients.
