Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Nalin Kohli on Wednesday termed the comments made by Congress leader Ajay Maken against Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani as 'tasteless'.
"Well I think it's a very tasteless comment from the Congress party. One has to bear in mind that it goes against principles of parliamentary democracy where people from grassroots has risen to the highest quarters. What is important in a minister are the qualities of integrity, intention and initiation, As far as Smriti Irani is concerned she has all of them in ample measure," Kohli said.
Congress leader Ajay Maken had stated that the Union Human Resource Development minister Smriti Irani was 'not even a graduate'. He tweeted on social networking site twitter saying, "What a Cabinet of Modi? HRD Minister (Looking after Education) Smriti Irani is not even a graduate! Look at her affidavit at ECI site pg 11.
