Taking a jibe at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh for his criticism of Arun Jaitley, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said the country's Finance Minister has an unblemished track record, a wealth of experience and has put the Indian economy back in recovery mode.
BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli alleged that such comments reflect the frustration of the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP.
"Evidently, the Aam Aadmi Party finds itself in a situation that it is unable to deal with and perhaps, it is getting frustration of their own making. It is also possible that Mr. Kejriwal likes his associates to use very pedestrian language and level allegations and make attacks even personalized against leading people," Kohli told ANI here.
"As far as BJP leader and the country's Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley is concerned, he has an unblemished track record, a wealth of experience and as Finance Minister the whole world acknowledges that India's economic situation is coming back on tracks, macro-economic indicators have improved, inflation is under reign, people are looking to invest in India," he added.
Kohli further said, "If we need a certificate of performance from people like Mr. Ashutosh perhaps that would be a day we should consider hanging up our boots in politics."
AAP leader Ashutosh had earlier in a series of tweets lashed out at Jaitley for his criticism of the Kejriwal-led government in Delhi.
"Country is paying for an experiment of making a person finance minister who lost badly in Amritsar parliamentary constituency," tweeted Ashutosh.

"The man who ran away from Delhi to Amritsar for his own political survival is insulting people in Delhi. Jaitley should shut his mouth," he added.
Ashutosh further tweeted, "The man who remained unelected all his life, calls Rajya Sabha an unelected body is talking about Delhi. Jaitley sud not be taken seriously."
"Jaitley ran away from Delhi to Amritsar for survival is insulting people of Delhi. Due to leaders like Jaitley BJP IS out fm Delhi for 20 yrs," he added.
Amid the ongoing dispute between the Delhi Chief Minister and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung over administrative issues, particularly the appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as acting chief secretary, Jaitley had earlier called Delhi's 'experiment' with the AAP a 'costly' one.
"The people of Delhi experimented with a new party in the elections, but it's a very costly experiment. Governance is not AAP's political agenda," he said while speaking at a meeting of the BJP's Delhi unit.
