Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) President, Rajnath Singh has asked the government to share information about national security, in the wake of China's latest incursion in Ladakh.
"The existing government lacks diplomatic skills, and therefore, is unable to establish better relations with neighbouring countries. Recently, China's People's Liberation Army established a camp inside Indian territory for 25 days. But we were not informed about the dialogue between India and China that led to the withdrawal of troops after 25 days. On such issues of national interest, the Indian Government must take the principal opposition party of the country into confidence," Singh said.
Media reports said Chinese troops crossed into Indian territory in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir and took away surveillance cameras after dismantling them on June 17.
The cameras were returned on July 3 after flag meetings at the local level in the Chushul sector of Ladakh.
China and India disagree about large areas of their 4,000 km (2,500 mile) border and fought a brief war more than 50 years ago.
India suffered heavily in the bloody war with China in 1962, fought in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh (then known as NEFA - North Eastern Frontier Agency).
