Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley on Sunday took a jibe at the ruling Congress Party and the Janata Dal (United) -led Bihar government, and said that he is confident that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would dethrone the governments at the Centre and in Patna in the next elections.

"Your encouragement shows that we will not only dethrone one government, but two. We will not only dethrone those in power at the centre, but will also bring a change in power in Patna," Jaitley said during his address at the 'Hunkar' rally here today.

"There is a wave of change and those who are unable to understand this wave of change will be washed away with it," he added.

Jaitley recalled the 'Congress hatao, desh ko bachao' (remove the Congress and save the nation) slogan, and said that the BJP has taken it upon themselves to save the nation from the "corrupt" Congress governance.

Jaitley also criticised the Congress' economic policies, and said the ruling Central Government has ruined the economy of the country.

Urging voters to back the BJP in Bihar, Jaitley said that "the wave of change has always started from Bihar."
