Brit rock band Black Sabbath has decided to call it quits after their lead singer Ozzy Osbourne's wife announced that Ozzfest in Japan will be the band's farewell.
In a brief video, Sharon Osbourne, who is also a co-founder of Ozzfest, asserted that the performance of the metal heavyweights at Ozzfest will be their last, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Founding guitarist Tony Iommi's lymphoma diagnosis and treatment was a factor in the decision to cease playing live.
Black Sabbath, which was formed in Birmingham in 1969, sold 70 million records, created several iconic albums and cult songs and was once voted the greatest heavy metal band of all-time by MTV.
