Blackbuck poaching case: Salman Khan asked to appear before Jodhpur court on March 10

A Jodhpur court on Wednesday has asked Bollywood actor Salman Khan to re-appear before the court on March 10 in connection with the Blackbuck poaching case.

"Court has recorded statements in connection with the poaching case, and has set the next date of hearing on March 10,' Public Prosecutor Upendra Sharma told media here today.

Salman was summoned by the Chief Judicial Magistrate after being exempted from appearing in court till now.

Salman has been charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, while others under Section 52 of the Act and Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the IPC.

A complaint was filed against Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre on charges of being involved in hunting of protected blackbucks.

The actors were accused of poaching two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in October 1998.

The blackbuck shooting case dates back to 1998 during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
