FIFA president Sepp Blatter has called UEFA disrespectful and reportedly indicated that he wants to seek a fifth term as the football governing body's head after demands for his resignation.

Blatter, who has been widely criticised over the damage that FIFA has suffered due to corruption allegations, said that he was angered by calls by his European counterparts for him to quit, adding that this was the most disrespectful thing he has ever experienced in his entire life.

According to the BBC, Blatter said that his mission is not finished after FIFA decided not to impose an age limit or maximum terms for officials ahead of the 2014 World Cup that starts in Brazil on June 12.

The Swiss also floated a new proposal for matches where managers would be allowed to challenge the referee's decisions twice during a match with immediate TV reviews, but any such plan would need to be approved by the International Football Association Board.

Blatter, who has been under increasing criticism over continuing controversy over Qatar's successful bid to host the 2022 World Cup, got called from the Football Association chairman Greg Dyke on Tuesday along with a number of sernior European members, all asking him to step down next year.

However, Blatter said that he knows that his mandate would finish next year on 29 May in Zurich, but his mission is not yet finished, adding that they would build the new governing body together and they have the foundations today because they have the budget for the next four years.
