A visually impaired association in Karnataka's Hubli district, while lauding the demonetization initiative, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to print the new currency notes in the Braille script.

The Chickennakoppa Andhara Kalyana Samithi, a local blind organisaion, expressed this views to the media here.

Arjun Naik, a visually impaired person, told ANI, "The new notes don't contain Braille script and only has a thread, which makes it difficult for us to recognise it. Hence, we sincerely request the Central government to pay heed to our concerns."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision has so far drawn both praise and criticism from the public as well as political parties.
