Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat on Monday called for better coordination between the Centre and states in the wake of terror strike in the temple town of Bodh Gaya.
Brinda Karat said that a blame game starts among the ruling and opposition parties whenever such incidents occur.
"When such incidents occur, we have seen this kind of blame game which goes on which is extremely unfortunate. The mechanisms that the Central Government has obviously are extremely weak. Therefore, it is necessary to have a better coordination between the centre and the states," she said.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy hit out at Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh over his tweet that the blasts took place just a day after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi addressed the BJP workers and asked them to teach his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar a lesson.
"A man who called Osama Bin Laden, the most dreaded terrorist across the world, he calls him Osamaji, he goes down to defend the Batla House encounter. Such people when they talk about terror, it's laughable and the BJP completely considers the statement of Digvijay Singh as bizarre," he told the media in Patna.
Launching a frontal attack on Modi, Digvijay Singh earlier in the day tweeted: "Flip side of this. Amit Shah promises a Grand Temple at Ayodhya. Modi addresses Bihar BJP workers and asks them to teach Nitish a lesson."
