Investigations into the Boeing 787 plane that caught fire at Heathrow Airport on Friday have concluded that there was no direct relation of the fire to its batteries.

BBC reports that the investigation had found extensive heat damage in the upper portion of the rear fuselage which is a complex part of the aircraft.

The UK's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said that this heat damage is remote from the area in which the aircraft main and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) batteries are located.

Ethiopian Airlines has said that it will continue operating its fleet of Dreamliners.
