Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has branded Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale as the fastest footballer in the world in wake of his stunning Copa del Rey final winner against Barcelona on Wednesday.
Bolt, who is the world's fastest man, said that it was a great goal and Bale showed his great speed when he swept past the defence and then kept his cool to slip the ball under the keeper's legs.
According to the Guardian, Bolt said that it seems that Bale's past as an athlete in Cardiff Institute helped the winger in this move, adding that it is a goal any sprinter in the world would like to score one day.
Bale scored a goal for Real in the 85th minute following a 50-metre sprint to take his club to lift the Copa del Rey cup after beating Barcelona 2-1, the report added.
