Putting speculation to rest, six-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has said that he is not afraid to face fellow sprinter Justin Gatlin, insisting that he will be in his prime to outpace his in-form American rival in the World Championships in Beijing in August.
The Jamaican, who holds the world record in both 100 metres and 200 metres, said that he has been in the sport for years and has never dodged anybody. He added that he has always showed up when it matters and has proved to be the best.
Although Gatlin has clocked 2015's fastest 100m and 200m this season, he is yet to race against Bolt.
Bolt said that he is not in the best of shape, insisting that he is not going to put himself out there unless he is sure of delivering a finest performance. He, however, opined that he will be all set to go when the pair will square off against each other in the Beijing showdown.
