U2's front man Bono has slammed Apple for behaving "like a religious cult" and not sufficiently promoting their partnership with his global non-profit organization RED.
According to Adweek reports, while speaking at the Cannes Advertising Festival, he criticised Apple's Senior Vice President of Design, Jony Ive, for not promoting his brand, which a non-profit that funds research and the distribution of medicine that stops the spread of HIV, publicly, CNET reported.
He also expressed his outrage at Apple for being "annoyingly quiet" about the fact that it raised 75 million dollars for the cause.
According to Bono's NGO's website, they have raised more than 250 million dollars to highlight HIV and AIDS research in Africa.
