Bookmakers have reportedly slashed the odds to evens for Dutch coach Louis van Gaal to become Manchester United's new manager following David Moyes' sacking.

Van Gall, who is famous for his attacking 'total football' style, is the bookies favourite to take over as the new United chief with Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp as second favorite despite ruling himself out of the job along with interim boss Ryan Giggs.

Ladbrokes spokeswoman Jessica Bridge said that it has been one-way traffic in betting for Van Gaal in the last 24 hours, the Daily Star reported.
