Raising many eyebrows, British two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan has claimed that the Prime Minister David Cameron had helped him when he was denied a visa to travel to the US on September 11 last year.
While speaking to a British daily, Amir revealed that he was flying out on September 11 and American immigration guys told him that his visa was refused and couldn't get on the plane, the Daily Star reported.
Amir further said that he rang Cameron and said he had a bit of a problem, adding that Cameron had asked him to hold on for a minute and called him back and it was sorted, the report added.
In a bid to show solidarity against terrorism, Amir recently visited the recently attacked Peshawar school in Pakistan.
