Indian pugilist Sumit Sangwan remained on course for securing his berth for the forthcoming Rio Games after storming into the quarterfinals of the AIBA World Olympic Qualification tournament in the men's light heavyweight (81kg) category here on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old displayed a superior performance, thrashing Mongolian opponent Erdenebayar Sandagsuren 3-0 in the pre-quarterfinal round.
A victory in the next round will guarantee Sangwan's spot for the Rio Olympics, which starts from August 5.
