Brazilian legend Ronaldo is eyeing a comeback to football and has pledged to get back in shape, as he wants to play for US club Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

The former Brazil striker, who recently became a minority owner with the Strikers, who play in America's second-tier North American Soccer League (NASL), claimed that he would train a lot, and if the coach needs him, maybe he would return to playing.

Ronaldo, who last played with Brazilian club Corinthians in 2011, said that it is easy to get in shape, adding that one has to train, the BBC reported.

The three-time World Player of the Year also said that to play a soccer game one has to be in very good shape so he would try. He added that he would start another challenge and he is sure that it would help the league and the team and help soccer in America.

The former Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven, Inter Milan and Real Madrid star won the World Cup with Brazil in 1994 and 2002, finishing as top-scorer in the latter tournament with eight goals, the report added.
