Radio DJ and TV presenter Neil Fox has been released on bail after being taken in for questioning over 4 alleged sexual assaults.
The 53-year-old former 'Pop Idol' judge, also known as Dr. Fox, who's been under suspicion for three historic offences and one from earlier this year was arrested after presenting his breakfast show at the Magic FM offices in central London, the Mirror reported.
Fox, who is married and has three children, had rose to fame as a radio DJ in 1990's on Capital FM.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said that the officers from Westminster had made the arrest following four allegations of sexual assault against two women, then searched addresses in SW6 and the Littlehampton area of West Sussex.
The spokesperson added that the "man has now been bailed to return on a date in early December pending further enquiries," and clarified that the arrest wasn't a part of Operation Yewtree, the probe into allegations of historical abuse sparked by the Jimmy Savile scandal.
A spokesperson for Bauer Media, owners of Magic FM, too confirmed the news of arrest and said that said that considering the situation, Fox would be off air so that he was able to focus on the matter.
