Carl Thompson, dubbed as Britain's fattest man weighing 65 stone, died at home in Dover, Kent recently. He was 33.

According to his neighbour Ronald Williams, police, ambulances and fire crews were called to his house, and it took several hours to remove his body, reported the Daily Star.

Thompson's excessive binge eating is believed to be cause behind his weight, and it is said that he spent 22,000 pounds on takeaways over the last six years.

After warning from the doctors he needed to shed at least 45 stone to survive, he appealed for help from the public to get down to his ideal weight of 20 stone, saying that "any professional opinion or other knowledge would be great."

He had also tried hypnotherapy in a desperate bid to shed weight, and his grandmother Rosie McMonagle, 57, too had tried to help by cooking him healthy meals last month.

Thompson, who lived alone in Dover with carers coming daily to help him out, and was sadly housebound for over 12 months before his death, had admitted to be in a bad relationship with food, even as a kid.
