British Prime Minister David Cameron has reportedly said that the country is open to Indian students and migrants and insisted that there is 'no limit' on the number of foreign students allowed to come to the UK.
Cameron, who is on a trade mission in India, said that he wanted to 'cement Britain as India's partner of choice'.
According to Daily Express, the prime minister said that he wanted to counter the 'myth' that the UK immigration crackdown was 'freezing out' those who may wish to come here from India.
Cameron said that the Indian students have an English language qualification, but there is no limit on the numbers that can come to study at the UK universities.
He stressed that one of the reasons the numbers have fallen back from some countries is because a lot of people previously were not coming to study, they were coming to work.
The report added the prime minister saying that UK doesn't want people to come and study at the university and then get into non-graduate jobs where there are plenty of people
The prime minister maintained that he remains committed to 'tough' action to reduce net migration to the tens of thousands by 2015, but said that it wouldn't stand in the way of ties with India, the report added.
