U.K. Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond will be on a two-day visit to India from March 11-12.

Hammond will be reiterating British Prime Minister David Cameron's invitation to Prime Minster Narendra Modi.

In November last year, Cameron had said that relations with India are a top foreign policy priority for his country, after the Prime Minister had met Narendra Modi during his visit to Australia for the G-20 Summit.

"Relations with India are at the top of the priorites of UK's foreign policy - @David_Cameron to PM @narendramodi," he had tweeted.

"Your's is a very inspiring vision, UK wants to partner in any way we can - PM @David_Cameron to PM @narendramodi," he added.
