A new Broadway musical will be taking the help of singer Britney Spears' pop songs to tell the story of Jesus Christ.
The musical, 'SPEARS: The Gospel According To Britney', which made its debut at the Columbia University in NYC, has been written by 23-year-old Patrick Blute, Metro.co.uk reported.
While explaining the concept of the show, Blute said that 'SPEARS' attempts to reconcile a lot of the anxiety 20-somethings feel about living in a society that has thousands of statements and not much substance.
Blute, who is currently trying to raise funds for the show with his crew, said that the show appeals to those from a religious background because it tells an essential story using fragments of pop culture in a non-offensive way.
