New details have been revealed about Bruce Jenner's interview with Diane Sawyer, set to air on April 24.
Sources said that the 65-year-old former athlete, who views the show as "a farewell to Bruce," will present himself as a woman publicly for the first time, TMZ.com reported.
The insiders added that Jenner, who does not reveal his new nameor dress like a woman on camera, sees the interview as the most significant event associated with his sex change, more significant than the surgical procedures that will get him there.
It appears Jenner, who has built a life on motivational speaking, will use this opportunity to both reintroduce himself as well as educate, so others transitioning won't be subjected to the same scrutiny he's experiencing.
Insiders say Jenner will discuss his entire life since the age of 5, identifying as a woman, his struggle with living as a man and the effect his transition has had on his family.
