The fans at Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey, were in for a surprise as legendary singer Bruce Springsteen treated them with a surprise appearance at a live music show.
According to The Independent, the 'Born to Run' hit-maker was attending a show of his E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt, who was performing alongside the Disciples of Soul.
The famous rock star "stood undetected" while watching the show till the time Van Zandt said, "Can I get my friend who's out of work?," as quoted by Variety.
Springsteen emerged on stage during the encore and played four songs, including 'Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out' and a cover of Marvin Gaye's 'Can I Get a Witness.'
It's not the first time the New Jersey native Springsteen has surprised audiences. In April, he played a two-hour jam session at the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival.
