A building collapsed in Fatehnagar town of Rajasthan on Saturday killing at least three labourers and injuring a few others.
A rescue worker, Shankar Lal said that the presence of a large crowd made it difficult for them to clear the debris. Ultimately, they had to use earthmovers to clear the debris.
"The condition was very bad. The top floor of the building was about to fall down and the entire concrete and Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) also fell and people got stuck in it. It took around three to four hours to rescue the people," said Lal.
The incident occurred when the when the labourers were placing the reinforced cement concrete (RCC) on the first floor of the building of Jain Samaj Upasara. The labourers were buried under the debris
Lal Singh Dewada, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of the area said that when the building collapsed more than 30 labourers were working and three of them had died.
The injured were treated in a hospital in Udaipur.

The SDM announced a compensation of 50000 rupees each to the family of the dead and rupees 5000 would be given to the injured.
Youngsters playing in the cricket stadium nearby rushed towards the site as soon as they got to know about the collapse and rescued five people.
Kanhaiya, an injured labourer said that it was so sudden that they were not able to figure the exact reason for the collapse.
