Robert Pattinson reportedly passed on the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming erotic film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' because he was too busy.
A source has told Hollywoodlife that Pattinson turned down the job as it didn't fit his busy work schedule, Metro.co.uk reported.
The insider said that the 'Twilight' star whose character Edward Cullen was the inspiration for Grey, read the script and was more than flattered when he was offered the role, but he was already signed for three other films.
The source added that his turning the down the role had nothing to with the film prolonging his sex status Twilight image.
Rumours were rife about his casting in the film after Pattinson invited Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James to a party at his house in Los Angeles.
