With assembly by-elections presently underway, incidents of violence have been reported in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district on Sunday.
The car of a Congress leader was vandalised in a brawl and two people were beaten up.
Meanwhile, the Congress Party has held the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters responsible for the ruckus.
According to reports, the riot control police has been brought in to control the situation. Paramilitary forces and local police are patrolling the area.
Polling for by-election to the Bandhavgarh Assembly seat in Umaria district and Ater segment of Bhind is currently underway.
A controversial demonstration of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Bhind went viral last week, prompting the Congress to allege that the voting machines could be tampered with. After the controversy broke out, security arrangements were stepped up in Bhind for the polling.
