British Prime Minister David Cameron is said to announce new law which would make it a criminal offence to watch 'rape porn'.
According to The Mirror, Cameron is said to outlaw viewing porn that simulates rape as a part of a major crackdown that he hopes will stem the tidal wave of filth on the internet.
The British laws already consider publishing such material as a criminal offence, however, the loophole meant that people who watch it are not breaking any law and Cameron is aiming at closing this loophole, making it a criminal offence to possess internet pornography that depicts rape.
Cameron further aims at outlawing other kinds of pornography which is so extreme that it cannot be bought in adult shops and said that there is no such thing as a 'safe' place on the internet to access child abuse material'.
The report said that Cameron has warned Google, Yahoo, Bing and other web giants and said that they have a moral duty to act on this and said that if their progress is slow in terms of implementing anti-porn measures, then the government would look at legislative options to force actions.
