After promising to hold an in-out referendum on Britain's EU membership by 2017 prior to his election, Prime Minister David Cameron is set to begin talks with other European leaders to renegotiate his country's relationship with the union.
Cameron said that the talks will neither be "easy" nor "quick", and predicted that there would be different views and disagreements along the way.
He, however, said that by working together in the "right spirit," they will be able to find solutions that will address the concerns of Britain and improve the EU as a whole, the BBC reports.
At a summit in Latvia, Cameron is expected to list out the changes he wants to see, including restrictions on benefits for migrants.
The summit has been organized to discuss EU relations with the former Soviet states, but Cameron has said he will raise the issue of his planned reforms.
