The companies are actively exploring commercial partnership opportunities in India. The strength and caliber of the Canadian contingent is clear evidence of Canada's interest in India's renewable energy market.
The delegation comprises representatives of the following companies, organizations and universities: Initiatives Prince George Economic Development Corporation, Simon Fraser University, Ballard Power, Canadian Solar, Vizimax, NuWorld, Loraxian, Stratmin, New Dawn Energy Solutions, Alpha Technologies, IREQ, Idenergie, Montreal Nuclear Services, Fugesco, Windular Research and Technologies Inc, and OPAL-RT Technologies.
Provinces such as Quebec and British Columbia have lent their support to the delegation and are looking forward to fruitful results from their participation.
Welcoming the Canadian delegation to India, the Acting High Commissioner for Canada to India, Mr. Jess Dutton, said: "This is a great opportunity for Canadian companies to learn about the Indian renewable energy market which is growing significantly each year. India's emphasis on clean energy and Canada's strong capabilities in renewable energy will further boost the scope of cooperation in this area. Several Canadian companies are already operational in the field of renewable energy in India. Their success will attract more Canadian companies and help bolster two-way investments. I look forward to further collaboration with India to build a cleaner environment and an energy-secure future for our two nations."
While in India, the representatives of Canadian companies will participate in business-to-business meetings and networking events to meet with key potential partners.
