YouTube makeup genius Talia Joy Castellano, who had been battling two forms of cancer- neuroblastoma and leukemia- for 6 years, died on Tuesday at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. She was 13.
Castellano, from Orlando, Fla., had defied the disease with her lively video updates, many which have been viewed almost 1 million times, the New York Daily News reported.
A message on the Facebook page, Angels for Talia, read "it is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am".
The post continued with "Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time."
In four hours, more than 40,000 people had commented.
According to the Facebook page, Castellano, who was the face of the beauty brand CoverGirl, was so adored by her fans that the hospital, where she died, had to ask well-wishers to stop calling.
