A new research has shown that people who are drunk know what they do but they don't care because alcohol merely cuts out their natural "alarm signals".
According to News.com.au, Bruce Bartholow said that it was very common for people to respond more slowly following an error, as a way of trying to regain self-control and the alcohol group participants didn't do this, CNet reported.
Bartholow asserted that the role of alcohol was merely to silence the "alarm signals" that warned them to control themselves or difficult social consequences may ensue.
