Cuban President Raul Castro has said that he is ready to discuss U.S.' move to normalise bilateral relations but warned that the communist system would not be changed in the country.

Castra also said that Cuba faced a long struggle before U.S. removed its economic ban, reported BBC.

The Cuban President would attend the Summit of Americas next year in Panama where he would meet the U.S. President Barack Obama.

Obama said that isolation of Cuba - American policy for more than five decades - had failed, and he is firmly convinced it was time to forge a new path.

Obama announced his decision to normalize and renew diplomatic and economic relations with Cuba and re-open a U.S. embassy in Havana on Wednesday.
