PSG player Edinson Cavani has thanked his former club Napoli by taking out a full-page ad in an Italian newspaper, acknowledging them for the love and support.
According to metro.co.uk, Cavani joined PSG for around 55 million pounds earlier this summer, despite strong interest from the Premier League, and made his Ligue 1 debut for his new club last night, in a 1-1 draw with Montpellier.
The message accompanying Cavani's model-style snap reads 1,000 unforgettable days, 104 special moments lived with you, and he said that the Azzurri will be in his heart forever, along with thanking them for the love, the report said.
The ad of thanks could be a common thing in Italian culture, with former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini doing the same thing to honour City fans after his sacking in May, the report added.
