Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said here on Thursday that the Government is satisfied with the response which the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel are giving to Pakistan ceasefire violations.

He also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is completely updated with the current border situation.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is updated with whatever is happening at the border. I don't think the he needs to make a statement because the BSF and Army are giving a good answer to Pakistan, and the way they are performing we are satisfied with that," said Singh.

He also sought to assure citizens that the Government would never let the country down at any cost.

Yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the International Border last night injured eight persons, including three BSF jawans.

Almost the whole stretch of the International Border including Samba, Hiranagar, Ramgarh, Arnia, RS Pura, Kanachak and Pargwal was affected by the firing.

Indian troops, however, also gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing.
