Union Minister of State for Sports Vijay Goel has said that the Centre will soon launch a portal which will provide the platform to the emerging sports persons in the country.
Participating in a closing ceremony of 'Jaipur Mahakhel Kabaddi' yesterday, Goel said that the sports persons, who are doing well in any sport activity, would be able to upload their videos and bio data on the proposed portal where the sports ministry will scrutinize and select them on the merit basis.
He further said that training would be provided to the selected sports persons under the Sports Authority of India and a scholarship of five lakh rupees per annum for eight years will also be provided to them.
