After 23 people were killed and 101 others injured in twin suicide bombings believed to have been carried out by Islamist militant group Boko Haram in N'Djamena, Chad's capital, the African nation's government has said that it will 'flush out' the group and neutralise its members, wherever they are.

The attack, which targeted a police headquarters and one of its academies in the capital city, has also been condemned by French President Francois Hollande. He said that there was no doubt that 'barbaric attack' had been carried out by Boko Haram and added that they will be brought to justice for this 'new humanitarian horror,' reported News.com.au.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also criticised Monday's twin attacks 'in the strongest terms' and lauded Chad for its courageous role in the fight against Boko Haram.

No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Chad is part of a four-nation coalition, including Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger, that is engaged in the fight against Boko Haram after it stepped up cross-border attacks.
