Chak de India' star Shilpa Shukla hosted the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Ladakh International Film Festival that is being held in Leh.
Shukla expressed her joy at being in Leh to host the film festival and also shared her strong belief in Buddhism.
Speaking exclusively to ANI, Shukla said, "I am a strong believer in Buddhism, and I was planning a trip to Ladakh, and wanted to attend the Kalchakra essentially. So, when I got an opportunity to host the festival, it was just a perfect plan."
Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, will participate in the 'Kalachakra' (Wheel of Time) ceremony and pray for world peace in Ladakh from July 3.
The 'B.A Pass' actor also admitted she is Buddhist and aspires to learn more.
