Veteran West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has extended his support towards his team following their dismal performance against South Africa in the first Test in Centurion last week.
West Indies incurred a heavy defeat by an innings and 220 runs against a staggering total of 552 by the hosts.
Chanderpaul, who amassed 11,709 runs at an average of 52.74 in his Test career, said that they have to put their disappointment behind them and take it as a learning experience and have to do better in the next match, Sport24 reported.
He further said that the players have talent and are bright stars for the future, adding that hopefully they could put some big scores up on the board in the Boxing Day Test at St. George's Park.
