Shivnarine Chanderpaul has become the second West Indian cricketer to score a test century post the age of 40 after former captain Clive Lloyd, who scored a ton against Australia in 1984, as West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 269 runs in the second and final Test at Beausejour Stadium.

Benn's second five-wicket haul of the series was supported well by fast bowler Jerome Taylor, who claimed his 100th test wicket on his way to figures of 3-39.

Bangladesh got off to a flying start in the 15 overs they faced before the interval, Shamsur Rahman taking on Jerome Taylor and hooking the fast bowler for successive sixes over square-leg, reported News24.

Tamim Iqbal top-scored with 64 and left-hander Mominul Haque contributed 56, the pair adding 110 for the third wicket but after Benn removed Tamim, the innings went into terminal decline, with the last eight wickets tumbling for 34 runs in an hour and a half.

Bangladesh, set 489 for a doubtful win, was bowled out for 192 in the final over of the fourth day and finally lost the two Test series 2-0.
