Producers of animated sitcom, 'The Simpsons', have revealed that they are looking towards retiring character Edna Krabappel from the show, after the death of voice actor Marcia Wallace.
Wallace, the voice of iconic the shows' cynical fourth grade school teacher Krabappel, has died aged 70.
'Simpsons' executive producer Al Jean said in a statement that Wallace's "irreplaceable character," of scoffing schoolteacher would be retired from the show, the Daily Star reported.
Wallace, the woman behind Bart Simpson's wise cracking teacher, has entertained TV fans for more than 20 years after the character first appeared on the show in 1990.
