Chelsea Clinton's mother-in-law Marjorie Margolies - a former Pennsylvania congresswoman - is campaigning to win back her old congressional seat, even though blogger Laura Goldman found that she paid herself an unusually large salary, part of which came from taxpayer dollars.
The news is not good for Hillary Clinton, as she is gearing up to run for President, the New York Post reported.
Margolies has been running Women's Campaign International (WCI) - a charity aiming to help women win elections in Third World countries - since 1998.
Some Democrats in Pennsylvania are surprised that she's running at all, given that her husband, politician Edward Mezvinsky, had been indicted in 2001 and later pled guilty to 31 of 69 fraud charges.
Nearly 10-million-dollars was involved in the crimes. The pair divorced in 2007 while Mezvinsky was still in prison.
Margolies, an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania, had collected a WCI salary as high as 164,159 dollars in 2011.
