Chelsea displayed a sheer resilient performance on Wednesday night as Jose Mourinho's side came from behind to trounce Leicester City 3-1 in their Premier League tie at the King Power Stadium.
Although Leicester produced a resolute first-half performance which earned them a deserved lead through Marc Albrighton in the 45th minute, Chelsea's veteran striker Didier Drogba leveled the score three minutes coming into the second half.
Subsequently, captain John Terry and Ramires consolidated the scoreline with their respective efforts to steer league leaders to victory and put them on the brink of glory as they now stand one win away from the Premier League title, the BBC reported.
Reflecting on his team's performance, Leicester manager Nigel Pearson said that the players didn't deserve to be on the end of a 3-1 defeat, adding that they showed positive intent with taking the lead, but admitted that Chelsea's early equalizer and the way the game developed suited Mourinho's side's game-plan.
